What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is an act of worship, an expression of our faith, and a discipline for spiritual growth. At Grace Lutheran Church and School we return our first fruits to God in thanksgiving for all he has given us.
How large should my Faith Promise be?
Each of us must give what we are able: unequal gifts, but equal sacrifice.
Scripture offers many accounts of faithful giving, expressed as a tithe – that is, a tenth of one’s income. Faithful stewardship calls us to prayerfully consider making the same commitment. At Grace, we view tithing as a giving goal.
Whatever the amount of your Faith Promise pledge, the most important aspect of Faith Promise Sunday is to reflect on your personal stewardship. What has God given you? How do you steward those gifts?
When do I make my Faith Promise?
Please bring your pledge to the altar during worship services on Sunday, April 28. You may also mail the pledge card to Grace’s business office, or place it in the offering plate on another Sunday.
